And, because we were all in danger of running out of pages to visit on the Internet, I now have a Myspace page. I can't imagine how often I'll get to it, but it is there!

I've been asked about what's on my reading list, film shelf, etc. — so here's the first part of what will be something possibly always in progress: the first few films on the movie page. In no particular order, and more to come...

I've seen the fan action figures and costumes inspired by the Knights of the Old Republic comics series; now, a music video? A work in progress from an anonymous fan on YouTube...

And if you weren't up for this morning's Good Morning America, you can find the new Indiana Jones trailer at the official site  and on Yahoo! Enjoy!

Dark Horse has announced its plans for May, which includes the Indiana Jones trade paperback — also available as a two-part comic book micro-series — and the first post-Vector Knights of the Old Republic, #29. I'm not sure what covers are on the Indy issues or trade - check with Dark Horse later in the week. And be sure to order them from your local comics shop!

Some reconstruction going on around the site... please excuse the mess while we get things organized. A number of new things on the site, including pages for Knights of the Old Republic #26, #27, and #28 and the Indiana Jones graphic novel; there are also preorder links for upcoming books. I'm hopeful the upgrade will make it easier for me to get more frequent updates online. Sister sites Comics Chronicles and MaggieThompson.com were also upgraded.

The software upgrade and site redesign allowed me to preserve old blog posts, but, sadly no comments — so you will find very few except for a couple of test transfers for entries before February 12. Please alert me here to any broken links — there were a lot of things to get changed. Upcoming additions will include a more robust gallery module and a section for games work.

Finally, an appeal to Wookieepedians, Wikipedians, and all indexers who may have accessed the site in the past: Page URLs have changed; please update your links! This includes any past blog posts -- while almost all posts are still on the site, their numbering has changed. The old ones won't 404, I don't think — but they will bump to the front page. My undying gratitude to anyone who could sweep their existing links for replacement with the new ones; the new pages should be more or less permanent (probably more, since I'll never redesign a site this size again). Thanks!

I was sorry to read of the passing of Roy Scheider. While most obits will focus on Jaws, his 2010 film came out right during my big Arthur C. Clarke phase in high school — and I was a huge fan of the film and its attempts at scientific accuracy.

Scheider was nothing like the actor who played the same role in 2001 — but I think he brought a quality that helped ground viewers through the film's more fantastic sequences. I talked with Keir Dullea about the film and his scene with Scheider a few years ago — I'm sorry not to have had the chance to meet the man himself.

Some notes on #25 are now up — and there are a number of interviews out there as well: StarWars.com, IGN, and ComicsBulletin (the former Silver Bullet). Whew!

You may note I don't have pages up for issues after #25. No worries: there's an upgrade coming for the site, and those will go up when we're on the new software (provided that doesn't take too long).

While I'm writing the comics adaptation for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, releasing in May, it turns out some of my earlier comics have a connection to a movie coming out earlier that month. If you catch the Iron Man trailer, the blonde reporter character at the opening is Christine Everhart. I created her in Iron Man #75 to serve as the media's foil for Tony Stark — I didn't find an opportunity to use the character again, but it looks like Hollywood did!

Someone has posted this interview with the actress, Leslie Bibb, who looks an awful lot like the comics character:

I also see from the cast listings that Bill Smitrovich has been cast as General Gabriel. I introduced General Gabriel as the chairwoman of the joint chiefs of staff in #73, though she didn't get named until #79. She also appears in  #84-85. (Yes, it's a woman in the comics.) With the military elements in the movie, I wouldn't be surprised to find more minor characters coming from the "Secretary Stark" year.

Fun stuff!
